Judy Mae Joyce Satterfield, Born on March 2, 1949 (age 76) of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at her home, entering her heavenly home on January 27, 2026. She devoted her life to her family, her faith, and the people she cherished. She was an incredible mother and grandmother who gave the utmost love and support to her family. A woman of faith, Judy attended City Hills Church in Knoxville with her son Tim. Judy found joy in cooking for those she loved and spent many years as a dedicated hairdresser.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kennis Roy Satterfield; her parents, James William Stanifer and Mary Cleo Stanifer; and her siblings Roy Stanifer, Gene Stanifer, Myrle Smith, Allene Wood, Charles Stanifer, Bobby Stanifer, Trula Stanifer, and Mary Liford.
Judy is survived by her former husband and father of her children, Kennis Ray Satterfield; her children Dennis (Debi) Satterfield of LaFollette, David (Shannon) Satterfield of Hartsville, Kimberly McNamee of Maryville, and Tim Satterfield of Knoxville. She is also lovingly remembered by numerous grandchildren, Brittney Thompson, Amanda Satterfield, Kendrick Satterfield, Derek Satterfield, Scarlet Moore, Christopher Satterfield, Kayla Day, Sarah Satterfield, Landon Satterfield, Brynden Kidd, Zacharie McNamee, Taylor Pierce, Ayden Copeland, Titus Satterfield, Teagan Satterfield, Trystan Satterfield, Chloe Satterfield, Evelyn Satterfield, great‑grandchildren, and a great‑great‑granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Her loving caretakers, Paula Sue Walden and Destiny Tignor. Special thank you to Amedysis Hospice for their love and care.
Pallbearers will be Brynden Kidd, Christopher Satterfield, Matt Thompson, Landon Satterfield, Larry Wood, Rocky Brown, Ross White, and Thunder Warren. Titus and Trystan Satterfield will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Judy’s legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will continue to live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.
Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Friday, February 6, 2026, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel with service to follow at 7:00pm, Rev. Wayne Davis, Rev. Abby Prevost and Pastor Jonathan Lighty officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00am Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel for a brief service before going in procession to Washington Presbyterian Church Cemetery for interment.
