Judy Ann Mertens

Judy Ann Kagley Mertens, age 75, of Powell, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. Judy loved spending time with her family, reading, working puzzles, and being near her dog, Dexter. Judy was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be missed by many.

Preceded in death by father, Elmer Harvey; mother, Zelma Ruth Metcalf Harvey; late husband, Tom Kagley; son, Rusty Kagley; sister, Brenda Haun; grandson, Tyler Humphrey.

Survived by husband, Thomas Mertens; daughter, Melissa Gibson; grandchildren, Devin, Cory, Lorin and Amber; great grandchildren, Selena, Gabriel, Easton, Denver, Remianne, Waylon, Wyatt and Nirvana; brother, Randy Harvey.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with a service following at 7:00pm with Pastor Jeff Dyer officiating. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Lenoir City, TN, at 9:45am for a 10:00am graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Devin Gibson, Cory Gibson, Randy Harvey, Chase Harvey, John Brady, Justin Carpenter and Gabriel Gibson.
