Judith Ann Rucker

Judith Ann Lawson Pratt Rucker, age 83 of Corryton, TN, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023. Born February 10, 1940, in Knoxville, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents Coy and Lucille Lawson, sisters, Dot Lane and Evelyn Ogle, brother Coy Lawson, Jr., husband, Guy Rucker and son, Tim Pratt. She is survived by daughters, Jeanie. Bittle (Scott), Angie Pratt and Susie Pratt. Grandsons Chris (Megan) Pratt, Clifton (Heather) Haley, Curtis (Tosha) Haley. Great grandchildren Lucy Pratt, Georgia Haley, Gage Haley, Joel Haley and Gavin Haley. Brothers Steve (Brenda) Lawson, Randy (Treca) Lawson, and sister Becky Simmons and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Judy was a long-time member of Fairview Baptist Church. She taught and loved the ladies of Fairview for many years. She loved her church and she loved the Lord! She worked at UT Medical Center until retirement. She was an amazing seamstress and talented artist. Her greatest treasure was her family.

She loved with everything she had until the very end. Even when she couldn't remember names, she would call each of us "mine". She knew that we belonged to her and her to us.

We will be receiving friends at Fairview Knox, 7424 Fairview Road, Corryton, on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a service to follow at 7:00 pm officiated by Pastor Jeff LaBorg. Friends and family will meet at 10:45 am at Fairview Knox Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside service, with Pastor Keith Weaver officiating.

Pallbearers will be Chris Pratt, Clifton Haley, Curtis Haley, Joe Bond, Randall Medley and Randy Lawson.
