Joyce Ann Wilkerson

Joyce Ann L. Wilkerson age 77 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024, surrounded by her family.  Born in Kodak, TN as 1 of 9 children to Hubert and Cena Layman whom she was preceded in death along with her siblings, Leo, Velda, Leroy, Ina, Clifford, J. L., Wilma and Ruby.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Leonard "Jack" Wilkerson and beloved son Bobby "Frankie" Thomas.  Joyce was retired from AT & T as a phone operator.  She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Joy (Raul) Batista, Kelly Crenshaw, Laura (David) Fox, and Allyson (Kevin) Heck.  her grandchildren Kacey Campbell, Lauren Luttrell, Peyton and Reagan Heck, Lacey (Jason) Fountain and Mason (Chloe) Fox; great grandchildren Kaylee Tarwater, Lane and Lincoln Fountain, Lola Fox and great-great grandson Lennox O'Mary. Numerous nieces and nephews; a very dear friend Betty Hankins.  The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel 4131 E. Emory Road, Knoxville, TN 37938.  Family and friends will meet 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 2200 East Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 for a 12:30 p.m. committal service.   Condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com.
