Joyce Faye Davis

Joyce Faye Davis, 90, passed away peacefully at Sacred Ground Hospice Home in Knoxville, TN on April 22, 2026. Born on April 19, 1936, in Knoxville, “Mimi” was dearly loved, and will be sorely missed, by all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Joyce was a follower of Christ, placing her faith in Jesus as a child, and was an active member of Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church for many years. She was also a lifelong caretaker and homemaker, always lending a loving hand to those in need. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Earl Thomas Davis, Jr.; father and mother, James Tedford Hale and Katherine Laverne Hale; and her sister Carolyn Marie Hamrick. Survived and will be sorely missed by: her son, Larry; son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Susan Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and David McMillan; her five grandchildren; and her nine great grandchildren.

Family and friends may call at their convenience on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.   Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026 at Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
