Joyce Faye Abner

Joyce Faye Abner age 81, of Maynardville, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024. She was born April 14, 1943, to the late Robert Laverne Yearout and Mildred Katherine “Kat” Norton. She was a former employee of Hillcrest North, where she worked for many years. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as, a friend to everyone she met. Preceded in death by her sons, Ricky Eugene Abner and Edward Keith “Eddie” Abner, and sister, Charlotte Ann Woods. She is survived by her loving husband, Eugene “Gene” Abner, daughter, Teresa Ann Abner-Smith, grandchildren: Scott (Melissa) Smith, Tiffani (David) Abner, Casey (Tim) Cole, Dustin Abner, Christopher “Chip” (Misty) Abner, Derrick (Sarah) Smith, and Tonikia (Dustin) Terry; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, brothers Robert Joe “Bobby” Yearout and Jackie Norton, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with service to follow at 7:00pm, Rev. Darrell Seaton officiating.
