Joshua Patrick Heye

October 24, 1984 — October 13, 2025

Knoxville

Joshua Patrick Heye was born to Patrick and Tresa in New Jersey on October 24, 1984, and entered into eternal life on Monday, October 13, 2025, in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Josh was a kind and gentle soul. Being such a shy and reserved person, he never ceased to amaze his loved ones by making friends anywhere he went. He had a wonderful sense of humor and lived life with a joke at the ready.

Being raised primarily in Colorado, Josh had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hiking, and especially four wheeling and off-road driving. He prided his driving skills and was often quick to give “helpful tips” to others while riding as a passenger. He was always found with his best friend, Duke, a rescue Great Dane, who was his pride and joy.

Growing up, he had a love of cars and spent a lot of time and money tuning cars for racing. He spent many years in sales but found his true calling in tractor sales. He often reflected on his time with G&M Implement from Sterling, CO, where he enjoyed all his coworkers and customers.

He is survived by his loving wife Courtney; step-children, Gabe Martinez and Izze Dow (Kurtis); mom & step-dad, Tresa and Dave Lykou; step-mom, Pamela Heye; half-sister, Aleah Bruce (Will); nephew, Marcus Bruce; step-brother, Glenn Smiley (Jenni); grandparents, Don and Jean Sealy; aunt & uncle, Jana and Troy Ukasick; cousins, Trent and Kori Ukasick, Matthew and Jason Heye and numerous friends, including Wes who you have likely heard a story or two about.

He is preceded in death by his father, Patrick Heye; stepbrother, Keith Smiley; uncle, Mike Heye; and best friend, Duke.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Save the Giants in memory of Josh and Duke.
