Joseph David Ridenour

Joseph David Ridenour, age 66 of Halls, went to be with his lord and savior on November 5th, 2023. David was a member of Black Oak Ridge Baptist Church. He attended Halls High School with the class of 1975 and he had an avid passion for cars and motorcycles. David greeted everyone that crossed his path with a contagious smile and loved his family and friends dearly. He enjoyed many years in Florida with his parents and returned to Knoxville later in life to be close to family. He was especially fond of children and dogs. David was known by his family and friends as “King David."

David is preceded in death by his loving parents Joseph and Marjorie Ridenour, sister Linda Ridenour Bales, brother-in-law Lyde Bales and nephew William Ridenour. 

Left to cherish his memories are his sister Shirley Ridenour Denton (Jim); Brother Steve Ridenour (Jill); Nephews; Tanner Ridenour, Don Bales (Amy), Chris Bales; Great nephew and nieces; Alex Bales, Anna Bales and Lena Bales; Uncle; Jack Ridenour (Mary) and many beloved relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, Rev. Pastor Gary Capps of Black Oak Ridge Baptist Church officiating. The funeral service will follow visitation. Family and friends will meet at 12:15 PM Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 1:00 PM interment service. Pallbearers will be: Tanner Ridenour, Justin Ridenour, Don Bales, Chris Bales, Alex Bales and Ronnie Campbell.
