Joseph Abner Jollay

Joseph Jollay, age 93, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 23, 2024.

He was a faithful member, for over 30 years, at Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he was loved by all his church family. Jollay worked for Woodruff’s Department Store where he met his wife Estella Cate Jollay. After over 40 years of dedicated service, Jollay retired when Woodruff’s closed in 1992.

Jollay was blessed to have Ruth Ann and the late Jerry Brandon in his life. They loved him dearly and saw to his every need. Every church needs caring members like the Brandons.

Jollay was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Estella; parents, E.G. Jollay and Lanie Belle Edenfield Jollay; siblings, Mary Mitchell, Ed Jollay, Horace Jollay, Sam Jollay and Herman Jollay.

Jollay is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving church family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 1:00pm with Rev. Thomas Sweet officiating. Following the service, family and friends will meet at Thorngrove Cemetery, 721 S Carter School Rd, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871, for a graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 7225 Old Clinton Pike, Knoxville, TN 37921.
