Joseph "Joe" Tanner Norris

Joseph “Joe” Tanner Norris, age 22 of Knoxville, TN passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023. He loved basketball, video games, buying shoes, swimming, fishing, spending time with his family and son who he loved dearly. He will be remembered as a hard worker who wanted to be the best version of himself. He was kind, caring, selfless, resilient and never turned down a challenge.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nina Osborn; grandmother, Alice Godsey; father figure, Scott Herbert; uncle, Donald Norris; and aunt, Tab Norris.

He is survived by his son, Marcus Journee Moon; mother, Amy Godsey; father, Roger Norris Jr.; Father Figure, Dewayne Vance; maternal grandfather, F. M. Godsey; grandfather, Jeff Osborn; paternal grandfather, Roger Norris Sr.; paternal grandmother, Sharon Norris; sisters, Ieasha Norris, Brianna Norris, Khailey Compton, Tamara Merical, Priscilla Merical; brothers, Jacob Futrell, Austin Herbert, Tyler Herbert, and Logan Norris; Brother-In-Law; William; nieces, Dachanna Byrd, Burklee Futrell, and Wrenlee Futrell; aunts, Shirley, Patty, Michelle, Chrissy, and Tammy; as well as many cousins and friends.
