Joseph "Joe" Leonard Brewer

Joseph (Joe) Brewer age 82 of Fountain City, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024 .  Joe worked for First Tennessee Bank for over 40 years.  He was a proud Central High School Alumni.  Joe loved going to Daytona Beach and was a huge supporter of The University of Tennessee Sports.  He was preceded in death by parents, Eva Raines Brewer and Frank Brewer; sisters, Opal Wyatt, Mamie Long and Charlotte Williams; brothers, Hugh Henry Brewer, Chester Raines and Robert Raines.  Joe is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carol; son, Joey (Beth) Brewer; grandsons, Matthew McSwords and Bryce Brewer; brothers, Charles Brewer and James Raines; nieces, Jeanette Williams, Sherry Raines Brown, Billie Meyers and Deborah Jones.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to UT Hospice Staff especially Dee, Stephanie, Tianna, and Elizabeth for taking care of Joe.  Also, his care givers Jan and Sheila for all of their help.  Family and friends will meet 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the main gate of Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service, Rev.
