Jonathan Tyler Stanley, age 46, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026.

Jonathan graduated from Bearden High School in 1998. He earned his bachelor’s degree from McKendree University and his master’s degree from Bethel University.

Jonathan will be remembered for his generous heart, the effortless way he made those around him feel valued and encouraged, and how he loved with his whole heart. Four words he often used were relentless, attitude, game, effort...for Christ."

Preceded in death by brothers, Eric Stanley and Derrick Stanley; niece, Alexandria Stanley.

Survived by wife, Robbie Stanley-Montgomery; children, Tatum Elaine Stanley and Jonathan Windham Stanley; stepchildren, Brayden Papich, Kaydence Papich and Camden Papich; parents, Anthony Stanley and Saundra Stanley; sisters, Shea Whaley (JJ) and Carrie Beth Prilliman (Keith); sister-in-law, Melissa Stanley; nieces, Elaina Whaley, Caitlin Prilliman, Abby Prilliman, Brittany Jenkins, Jessica Stanley; nephews, Jack Whaley, Luke Whaley, Benjamin Whaley; numerous great nieces and nephews, and extended family members from the Stanley family line.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Parkway Baptist Church, 401 S Peters Rd., Knoxville, TN, from 3:00pm-4:45pm with a memorial service to follow at 5:00pm.
