Jonathan “Blake” Goosie (November 15, 2004 - August 20, 2026)

Blake tragically left this world on Thursday, August 20, 2026. He is a redeemed son of the Most High; a beloved son to Chris and Terra; a blessing of a brother to Grace and Josiah Schelling, Gavin Goosie, Natalie McGuire, and Benjamin Johnson; and a dear friend to too many to count. Blake was a lifelong member of Fellowship Church, a UT Kinesiology major, an active member of Beta Upsilon Chi, and a proud gym rat who rarely missed a workout. He was tender and tough, loved BIG, protected fiercely, loved all music, laughed infectiously, and had a voracious appetite for life. Blake carried the pain of this world, but even amidst his own suffering, his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ used his life to bring life and blessing to so many. God’s plan can be mysterious in many ways, but we are certain that Blake was welcomed into his Lord’s loving arms on the exact day that had been planned for him before the foundation of the world. Death will not have the final word, because one day soon, all things will be made new. Blake’s life will be celebrated on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 3pm at Fellowship Church (8000 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37909) with a reception for family and friends immediately following the service. - “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:21-23
