Johna Bowling Crass age 49, of Knoxville, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025. She was saved and baptized at New Testament Baptist Church. A Halls High School Graduate C/O 1993, pet lover, and avid UT Sports fan, especially Vols football. Johna also loved the warm sunshine, trips to the beach, and absolutely anything the color orange!
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Floyd and Neva Bowling, and maternal grandparents, Wesley and Frances Wright.
Johna is survived by her husband, Stephen Crass, children: Taylor (David) Ballard, Cole (Summer) Hunter, and Allie Hunter Crass; granddaughter, Scarlett, father and stepmother, Ronnie and Sherlene Bowling, mother and stepfather, Mary and Sonny Vincent, sisters, Jena (Jim) Franklin and Jessica (Shane) Glasgow, niece and nephews: Tyler (Jazzy), Tanner and Caleb Franklin, and Xander, Drake, and Halle Glasgow; several aunts and uncles, and many special friends from childhood and all her years playing softball at Willow Creek and playing High School and Summer travel ball, where she was an outstanding first baseman.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Fort Sanders Regional Hospital ER and ICU staff for all their wonderful care and support.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet Monday, September 1, 2025, at 10:45 AM at Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00 AM graveside service with Jim Franklin and Pastor Justin Pratt officiating.
