John William Whitt

John William Whitt Sr., age 78 of Knoxville, passed away on January 13, 2025. John was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was a loving husband and father. John was predeceased by his father, Malcom Whitt; mother, Ina Mae Tallent; brother, Orville Whitt; and daughter, JoAnna Wade. He is survived by his wife, Kaye Whitt; daughter, Kayla Jones and husband Micah; son; John Whitt, Jr.; brother, Rayburn Whitt; grandchildren, Kinsley and Caroline Jones and several other nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 11:00am – 12:30pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, then family and friends will meet at 12:45pm at Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00pm graveside service.
