John Michael Slover

John Michael Slover age 73, of Corryton passed away 7:05 a.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at his home with his son by his side.  John was the former owner/operator of S. R. Roofing and a proud veteran of the U. S. Army.  John loved the outdoors especially fishing and hunting with his son.  John was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Henry Slover; his beloved sister, Laverna "Boots" Dunlap; sister, Elaine Weathers; brother, Eugene Slover.  John is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Amanda Slover, several neighbors and friends.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City.  Family and friends will meet 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (2200 East Governor John Sevier Highway) for a 2:00 p.m. committal service with full military honors provided by the East Tennessee State Veterans Honor Guard.  Condolences may be expressed at www.mynattfh.com.
