John Tom Miller Jr., of Knoxville, passed away on November 9, 2023. He was preceded in death by parents, Ginny and John Miller Sr. and Betty and Clarence Nicely; grandparents, Ellen and Allen Cassidy; Carl Miller, Cora Arthur; nephew, Anthony Brown; grand-nephew, Hudson Klotzbach, and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife Robin Murr Miller; siblings, James A. (Nikki) Miller of Clinton, Ben (Rachelle) Miller of Harriman, Cathy (David) Dunning of Oak Ridge and Michelle (Mick) Shelton of Rutledge and sons, Mason (Skylar) Miller and John T. Miller III. John was a hard worker. He worked and held a job his whole life since the age of 12. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend. He loved his family and enjoyed making memories with them. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. He may not have said it often to everyone but he loved his family and friends very much. He was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast and owned many different bikes over the years but his prize possession was his Harley-Davidson. He enjoyed long destination rides with his motorcycle friends and his wife. He worked at Stowers Machinery in Knoxville for 22 years and loved his job, employers and coworkers. He was a big part of our family and will leave a huge void in all our lives and hearts. The family takes great comfort in knowing that John was saved and is healed completely and rejoicing in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to Ed and Lisa Stowers Rottman for their kindness and support for John over the years. The family would also like to send a heartfelt thank you to Abby and Stephanie with UT Hospice for their kindness, thoroughness, patience, and genuine care and compassion that they treated John and the whole family with up until the very end. Family will receive friends on Sunday November 12, 2023 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with a 3:00pm service to follow. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel at 11:45am to go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 12:45pm for a 1:00pm Graveside Service.
