John Thomas Lambert, age 73, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on June 13, 2025. He served in the Marine corps for 3 years. He was an avid Marksman and loved shooting. He was an engineer for Northfolk Southern Railway for more than 33 years. He was a member of the Marbledale Church of God. John is preceded in death by his parents, Eulis and Nada Bell Lambert; sisters, Sue “sis” Lambert. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Deborah Lambert; daughters, Kristina Vanzant (Tilman), Kimberly Kennedy (Ronnie) and Rebecca Parker (Joey); son, Randy Lambert (Kayla); grandchildren, Jesse Vanzant and Hunter Vanzant (Heather), Dalton Ellis, Alyssa and Alli Kennedy, Addessa Peacock, Lacey Lambert, Josh Lowe, Caleb, Haley and Ella Lambert; great- grandchildren, Holden and Harlan Vanzant; brothers, Eddie Lambert, Eulis Lambert Jr., Dee Lambert and Alvin Brown; sisters, Brenda Whitener, Mary Wyrick. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 5:00pm-7:00pm with a 7:00pm funeral service to follow at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 11:15am to go in procession to Asbury Cemetery for a 12pm graveside service.
