John "Jake" Rutherford

John “Jake” Rutherford went to his Heavenly Home Wednesday, June 17, 2015, with his loving wife of 33 years, Margaret by his side. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Preceded in death by first wife, Estelle Rutherford; parents, Roxie and Ernest Rutherford; brother, Ernie Rutherford. Survived by wife, Margaret Reynolds Rutherford; daughter, Carol Graham Caldwell; granddaughters, Tiffany and LeShea Caldwell; great-grandchildren, Dax and Sofia Caldwell; brothers, Hillard Rutherford and wife Alma, Floyd Rutherford and wife Joan, sister, Sharon Drinnen and husband Butch; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to sister-in-law, Jessie Veal. The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow, Rev. Phillip Hayes officiating. Family and friends will proceed to New Loyston Memorial Gardens for interment following service.
