John Randall Hartman

John R. Hartman, age 61, of Knoxville, TN passed away Friday, September 19, 2025. He was a lover of all things outdoors and his fur babies. His vocation led him to be a master carpenter. He was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Betty Hartman; sister, Carol Hartman; and friends, Jim Mitchell, Wesley Mitchell and Walter Law. He is survived by wife of 35 years, Harriet Hartman; brother, David Hartman (Judi); children, Rachel Scarbrough (Tim) and Martha Law (Ana); grandchildren who called him “Papa”, Grayson and Gracie Scarbrough and Amelia Cox-Law; niece and nephew, Beth Crerar (Ben) and Matt Hartman (Liz); a great niece and nephews; friends, Chip Wood, Benji Mixon, Terry Scott, Dr. David Gayk, Connie Davis, Ann Thompson, Marge and David Luttrell and Melissa Law.

The family would like to say a special thank you to UT Hospice, Dr. Cynthia Pearman, Rachel Scarbrough, and to Bradley Massengil and his family.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
