Jimmy Lee VanWinkle

Jimmy Lee VanWinkle, age 79, of Knoxville, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2026. 

Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He shared 58 years of marriage with his loving wife, Barbara. He is survived by his daughters, Tammy and husband George Oley and daughter Kelly Myers. He was a proud and loving grandfather to his beautiful granddaughters: Allyson (Will), Ashlyn (Tyler), and Meghan (Kevin), and a great-grandfather to Baileigh. 

Jim was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. Some of his most treasured moments were spent camping with family. He loved his dogs Oreo, Buddy and Archie. He was a faithful member of Westview Community Church.

Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 2:45pm for a 3:00pm graveside service officiated by Bryce Justice and Dewey Caldwell.
