Jimmie Wyatt McElroy Sr.

Jimmie Wyatt McElroy Sr. age 86, of Powell, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church of Corryton, and a Veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Katherine McElroy, children: Jamie Greene, Jimmie McElroy Jr., and John Allen McElroy; parents, James and Helen McElroy, and siblings: Irene Hayes, Jessie Lucas, and John McElroy. Jimmie is survived by his grandchildren: Chad Jenkins (Brandi), Chrissy Tillman (Josh), Justin McElroy, Dustin McElroy (Macy), and Russell McElroy (Lauren); great-grandchildren: Armenda, Dacey, Harmony, Lacey, Kaysen, Carson, and Declan; great great-grandchildren: Jah’mari, Paisley, Kinley and Adley; brother, Kenneth McElroy and daughter-in-law, Tona McElroy. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, followed by a 12:30 pm funeral service officiated by Rev. Ronnie Rose.
