Jessie Lynn Rutledge

Jessie Lynn (Plemons) Rutledge, age 77 of Powell, TN passed away Friday, August 15, 2025 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.  She was born on January 24, 1948.  She was member at Lakeview Baptist Church in Rockford.  She was very proud of her Christian faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a friend to all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Rutledge; daughter, Angie Brooks; parents, Jesse and Helen Plemons; sisters, Carolyn Rose and Patsy Plemons.

Jessie is survived by her sons, John and David Rutledge; grandson, Jacob (Emily) Brooks and Chris Wooten; granddaughters, Ashley McCarley and Ashley Murphy; great granddaughter, Lexie McCarley; great grandson, Nolan Bell; sister, Mary Miles; special sister-in-law, Mary Sasse.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel.  Brother Jacob Brooks officiating.  The family will meet at 10:45am on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Lynnhurst Cemetery for an interment service beginning at 11:00am.

Jacob Brooks, Chris Wooten, Billy Brooks, Roy Griffin, Jack Rose and Billy Rose will serve as pallbearers.
