Jessica Rhyne Lane

Jessica Rhyne Lane, born May 30, 1983- November 3, 2023. Jessica was strong willed, fun loving, proud, and confident. She was known for her big head of curly hair and her love for volleyball. The only thing she loved more than volleyball was attending Tennessee football games with her dad. Her love of volleyball began while attending Karns High school. She went on to play college volleyball at the University of S.C. at Aiken. After college she coached at University of S.C. Salkehatchie in Walterboro S.C. and Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN. She continued her love of volleyball throughout the years by playing, coaching, and officiating games.

She was preceded in death by beloved paternal grandfather, Tommy C. Lane; maternal grandmother, Alice Fleenor; uncle, Dwain Long; and aunt Diane Murphy.

She is survived by loving parents, Chris, and Reba Lane; who love her very much, her brother, Trevor Lane; brother-in-law, Adam Quinn; she is also survived by maternal grandfather, Roy Fleenor, Abingdon VA, paternal grandmother, Inez Lane, Clinton TN; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and special family friends. Special thanks to Tennova North Medical Center and Select Hospital for their care.

Family will receive friends 5:00pm Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel until the time of Celebration of Life at 7:00pm.
