Jeremiah Oprea, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, with family by his side. He was 62 years old.
Born on September 24, 1962, in Carbunesti, Romania, Jeremiah immigrated to the United States as a young man. Through his determination, faith, and tireless work ethic, he built a legacy of love and strength that lives on in the family he raised.
A proud father of ten, Jeremiah taught by example the values of hard work, sacrifice, and staying united—values that have kept his children close even through the most difficult times.
He found great joy especially fishing for catfish and grilling by the lake with the family. Some of our fondest memories are the weekends we spent together by the water—creating memories, laughing, and enjoying simple moments as a family.
Jeremiah is survived by his spouse, Amy Oprea, and their ten children:
Adelina (Nelu) Rotar, Ovidiu Turcas, David (Cristiana) Oprea, Lydia (Jonathan) Frances, Dianna (Jake) Bennett, Tabita Bacon, Martha (Shaine) Gideon, Jason (Amber) Oprea, Simona Oprea, and Sarah Oprea.
He is also survived by his 13 precious grandchildren, and his siblings:
Dorina, Aurelia, Cornelia, Alexandrina, Elena, Mona, and Alex Peter.
Jeremiah’s love, strength, and silliness will be deeply missed. His legacy lives on in every member of his family and in the many memories we hold dear.
Dad, we will carry you in our hearts until we can hug you again soon.
