Jennifer Kathleen Lay

Jennifer “Kathy” Kathleen Hickey Lay, age 57 of Hardin Valley, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 27, 2023. She attended Karns High School and graduated in 1987, she was a long-time member of Unity Christian Church in Maryville, TN. She was preceded in death by beloved father, Calvin Hickey; mother, Charolette Smith Hickey; grandparents, Bill and Dora Hickey, Charlie and Artie Smith; aunts, Martha Farmer and Joyce Ellis; uncle, Howard Wallace. Kathy leaves to cherish her memory, beloved son, Jourdan P. Lay; her wonderful granddaughter, Payton Lay; brother, Gene Hickey; special friends Nate and Zach Hollman, and Phyllis Davis; care giver, Sam Davis; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and close friends. Kathy’s family would like to especially thank Island Home Park Health and Rehab for their awesome staff and care they gave her, we can not thank them enough, their caring hearts and wonderful care she was given. Kathy’s family would also like to thank Smoky Mountain Hospice for their great care in her final days. In lieu of flowers family asks that you make memorials to Island Home Park Health and Rehab Activities Department, where she enjoyed playing bingo.
