Jennifer Lee Cushman

Jennifer Lee Cushman (“Jenny”), age 65, of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away on December 26, 2025.

Jennifer was born in Massachusetts, and later made her home in East Tennessee, where she built a life rooted in love, resilience, and devotion to her family. She worked for Walmart for over 30 years, a testament to her strong work ethic and dedication, before retiring.

Above all else, Jennifer was a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three children: Courtney Moulton (Eric Moulton), Zach Cushman, and Kayla Sliter. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Emma, Makenzie, Austin, Draven, and Slate, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her two half-sisters, Amanda MacFarlane and Rebecca Hackett.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Fayette Burgess and Ruth MacFarlane, and her stepfather, George MacFarlane.

She found peace in simple joys—loving animals, getting lost in a good book, and taking long drives through the mountains. Jennifer was a strong woman who faced whatever life placed before her head-on, with courage, determination, and quiet strength. Those who knew her will remember her resilience, her love for her family, and the steady presence she brought to the lives around her.

A celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home in Fountain City, located at 2829 Rennoc Road, Knoxville, TN. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the legacy of a deeply loved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
