Wilma Jean Heifner, age 81, of Knoxville, passed away unexpectantly in her home on Friday, December 27, 2024. Jean was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jean cherished her family above all else. Her unwavering love and dedication to those closest to her were her cornerstone of her life. She was also a faithful member of New Pleasant Gap Baptist Church. Jean is survived by her beloved husband of sixty years, Carl Heifner, who shared a lifetime of love and memories with her. Jean is also survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Debra Heifner, Richard and Marsha Heifner, son, J.C. Heifner; daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette and Tim Williams, Marlene and James Moody; grandchildren, Stevie, Austin, Keely, Kaitlyn and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Paisley, Sophia, Hadley, Nathan, Dax, Bella and Sophia Lee. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Family and friends will meet by 9:45 AM Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Fort Sumter Community Cemetery for a 10:00 AM graveside service with Reverend Buddy Cameron officiating.
