Janice Lorraine Ayers

Janice L. (Maturo) (Roper) Ayers, 84, formerly of Rock Hill, SC, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026, in Knoxville, TN, surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Ayers, Jr.; her parents, John and Alice Maturo; and her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Jan Maturo. She leaves behind her children, Keith Roper, Kristine Roper, Kevin Roper (Tracey) and Kenneth Roper (Dawn); her stepdaughter, Glenna Ghantt (Randy); her brother, Jay Maturo; her nieces and nephews, as well as many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a fantastic cook, avid bowler and loved to crochet. Her family was her heart, and she will be greatly missed.
