Jana Lynn Gladden

Jana Lynn Gladden, age 64, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025 after a brief but courageous battle against cancer. A graduate of Powell High School’s Class of 1978 and of the Atlanta School of Massage, she spent the bulk of her career in the healthcare industry. Always an athlete, Jana played basketball on her high school girls team and also enjoyed tennis and track. In adulthood, she played recreational women’s softball for many years. Jana was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Frances Gladden. She leaves behind her sister, Tamara Gladden Shepherd, a niece, Carmen Shepherd, a nephew, Joseph Shepherd, and several cousins, both locally and in Arkansas and Alabama. Family and friends are invited to join a celebration of her life from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 26 at Mynatt Funeral Home in Fountain City, 2829 Rennoc Road.
