Knoxville

Jamie Ray Travis, age 54, of Knoxville, TN passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.

Jamie was a member of New Victory Baptist Church, 923 W Baxter Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37921.  He was a loving and devoted husband, a proud and caring father and a cherished Pappy whose heart knew no limits.  He loved deeply and freely and everything he did in life was guided by his desire to care for others.  Family meant everything to him and he showed that love not only through his words, but through his actions each and every day.  He never met a stranger.  He was always lighting up the room with his presence, smile and laughter.  While his kindness defined him, he was never afraid to speak his mind or stand firm in his beliefs, always expressing himself with honesty and conviction.  His presence brought warmth, laughter and strength to those around him and his legacy of love, loyalty and authenticity will live on in the lives he touched.  He had so many hobbies throughout his life from building cars, trucks, racing rc cars, riding side by sides, going to car shows, gardening and going on vacations with his wife, kids and grandkids.  Jamie loved life and the family, friends and co-workers that were in his life.  He will be deeply missed but always loved by many.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lewis Ray and Norma Jean (Rose) Travis; grandparents, Charles Lewis Travis, Irene Travis Loveday and O.M. Loveday, Magnolia Kitts and Paul Rose.

Jamie is survived by his wife, Frankie Travis; children, Josh and Heather Travis, Casey Travis, Brittany Travis and significant other, Marquise Durden, Brodrick Travis, Deanna and Blake Williams, Dakota and Tori Martin, Cory and Alana Martin, Mirranda and Cody Goin and Danny Atchley, Jr; a special place in Jamie's heart is Brandon Travis and several nieces and nephews; brother, Jeff Travis; grandchildren, Brantley Travis, Collin Doxey, Suga Durden, Halle Williams, Gabe, Keaton Travis, Dayton Travis, MJ Durden, Mason Travis, Maely Travis, Briella Travis, Caroline Goin, Walker Williams, Odell Durden, Adelaide Martin, Diago Atchley, Myrical Travis and Kyzen Hatfield; another granddaughter, Lakin Goin who will be here April 2026.  The family would like to give a special acknowledgement to Rick Carnes, a longtime friend who was always just a phone call away.
