James Arthur Lucas

James Arthur Lucas, age 84 of Powell, TN passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2024. James served in the US Army during Vietnam at Fort Benning, GA. He was a member of Central Church of God.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Kyle Lucas and Helen Gentry Lucas; as well as an infant brother and sister.

He is survived by his wife, Freda Lucas (Turner); son, Tony Lucas; grandchildren, Spencer and Trent Lucas; sister, Janice (Jimmy) Edington; nieces, Tammy (Dale) Tuder, and Julie Reasonover; great nieces, Madison Kay and Katie Grace Tuder; great nephew, Preston Reasonover.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Debra, Katarina, and Tiana with U.T. Hospice for the care they have provided James.

Family and friends will meet at 9:00 AM on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, to go in procession to East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery for a 10:00 AM graveside service, Rev.
