James Edward Lindsay

James Edward Lindsay, age 59, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026. James loved spending time with his family, going to the lake, cooking, working on vehicles and projects around the house. He was loved by all of his co-workers and everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Lindsay and Judith Johnson and sister, Judi Lynn Cassidy.

Survived by wife of 33 years, Marla Lindsay; children, Whitney Sanders (Derrick), Lakin Lindsay and Iven Lindsay; grandchildren, Madison Warwick, Michael Sanders, Samuel Sanders and Alexandra Sanders; brothers, Timothy Cassidy (Julia) and Kenneth Johnson (Tina); sisters, Annette Cox (Toney) and Deanna Hurst (Harold); several nieces, nephews and cousins and his best furry friend, "Lizzy". 

The family will receive friends from 5 - 7pm with the memorial service to follow at 7pm Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel, 2000 Powell Drive, Powell, TN 37849. Rev. Buster Gresham will officiate.
