James G. Key

James G. Key, age 90, of Knoxville, TN went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at UT Hospital. He was a master carpenter and painter. He retired from First Baptist Church of Concord. He was also an avid UT Vols fan. He was preceded in death by mother, Leona Mae Teffetalor and father, Alvin Key; sons, James M. Key and Randall L. Key; grandson, Michael Shaun Watkins; first wife, Mary G. Sims. He is survived by daughters, Carol E. Orrick, Scarlett R. Sellers (Lester), Robin A. Morgan (John); son, Robbie A. Key (Tracy) and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 11:00am - 1:00pm with a funeral service at 1:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at Berry Highland Cemetery at 2:45pm following the funeral service for a 3:00pm graveside service.
