James "Richard" Jones

James “Richard” Jones, age 74 of Knoxville, TN went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 21. 2023. He loved to watch the Tennessee Vols and the Atlanta Braves. He worked at Invensys “Robertshaw” for 40+ years after coming home from Vietnam. Richard was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Fountain City before becoming a member at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church where he was involved in the choir.

 Preceded in death by parents; Jim and Ruth Jones, brother; Joe Jones, mother and father in-  Law; Carl and Mildred Teffeteller.

 Survived by loving wife of 48 years, Carla Jones, daughter; Trish Jones, granddaughter; Trinity Jones, sisters; Nancy (Dan) Stansberry, Janet (Rick) Stansberry, brother; Bob Jones, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 5:00-7:00PM at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with a service to follow at 7:00pm, Dr. Jim McCluskey officiating.

Friends and family will meet at Greenwood Cemetery at 10:45AM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 for an 11:00AM graveside service. Online condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com
