James "Jim" Stuart Caldwell

In Loving Memory of Jim Stuart Caldwell
With heavy hearts, we announced the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather and cherished
friend, Jim. He departed this world on Thursday, July 20, 2023, but left behind an indelible mark on the
lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Jim was a devoted husband. His unwavering love for his wife, two girls and their husbands
illuminated his life with joy and purpose. God, and his family, were the center of his universe and he
embraced every moment with them, creating a nurturing and loving home filled with laughter and
warmth. He was not only a husband and father but also an exceptional grandfather, showering his
grandchildren with affection and creating unforgettable memories that will be treasured for generations
to come. He also served in the Army National Guard for six years.
Apart from his love for family, Jim had a passion for mission work. Some of the places he visited were
Africa, Peru, Holland and the Caribbean.  Jim left an impact on the communities he served, making a
positive impact on the lives of others. Jim also had a love for camping and vacationing. He relished the opportunity to experience the beauty of the world with family and friends. A man of unshakable faith that grew through the years, Jim was devoted to God and his Spiritual Journey. His desire was for all those he cared for would know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. His steadfast belief provided him strength during challenging times and offered comfort to those around
him. Jim's memory will forever live on in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched. He leaves behind a
legacy of love, compassion and kindness that will continue to inspire us all.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Leana Davis and Nimrod Davis; mother and stepfather,
Josephene Lyons and Desmond Lyons; father and stepmother, James M. Caldwell and Kay Caldwell;
sister and brother-in-law, Phoebe Underwood and Rick Underwood; and sister, Joanne Wisner.
He is survived by his wife, Diane P. Caldwell; daughters, Gwen (Jeremy) Rickrode and Kim (Jerry)
Whitcomb; grandchildren, Travis Marcionette, Jordan (Meghan) Whitcomb, Justin Whitcomb and Bailey
(Austin) Swchinge; great grandchildren, Tristan Marcionette, Hagen Swchinge, Desmond Whitcomb and
Nixon Whitcomb; brother, Phil Caldwell; as well as a host of several nieces and nephews.
To all the friends from Maryland who have come over the past few months to visit with Jim, your love
and support has been a blessing to Jim. To my daughters and son's-in-law (Son’s), thank you for the
endless support you’ve given us. To all our neighbors who brought in gifts and food, we couldn’t be
grateful enough. To our church family, your love and support has been such a blessing during this time
of grief. You are all loved so much. Family will receive friends 5:00 pm -6:00 pm Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Redemption Harvest Church with a 6:00 pm service to follow. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mynattfh.com.
