James Allen Grubbs, Sr.

James A. Grubbs SR. (Jim), age 96, of Knoxville, Tennessee, went to be with The Lord in the early hours of May 25, 2026. He was a U.S. Navy and U.S. Army Reserve Veteran, and a member of Masonic Lodge 582 in Powell. Jim was also very proud to be a Shriner. He retired as a long-haul truck driver, having logged over 4 million accident-free miles. Jim’s hobby was flying.

He is preceded in death by parents, Milton P. Grubbs and Ila Sue (Bradley) Grubbs; son, James A. Grubbs Jr.; and daughters, Donna Grubbs and Janice Wilson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rosemarie; grandson, Justin James Wilson, and one great-grandson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, with service to follow, with Reverend Ron Mouser officiating, as well as Masonic Lodge 582.
