James Freeman Rutherford

James Freeman Rutherford passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at Ben Atchley Veterans Home at the age of 88. James served in the U.S. Army and retired as a manager from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. Preceded in death by wife of 65 years, Katherine Eledge Rutherford; parents, Fred and Rose Rutherford. Survived by son, Gary (Patrice) Smith; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nephews, Bobby (Claudia) Kennedy, Allen (Linda) Kennedy, Fred (Becky) McBride, Ronnie (Pandy) Wells, David (Carolyn) Wells; Nieces Jane (Dick) Eason and Dora (Bill) Love. Friends and family will meet at 1:45 pm Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery for a 2:00 pm graveside service with Dr. Jim Robertson officiating.
