James Edward Smith

James Edward Smith, age 65, passed away on August 1, 2021 at his home. Preceded in death by parents, Roscoe and Miva Russell Smith; wife and mother of his son, Linda Smith; brother, Earl Smith; sister-in-law, Diane Smith; brother-in-law, Buford Moore; nephew, Matt Smith. Survived by wife, Dawn Gentry; son, Gabe Smith; granddaughter, Zoe Baker; brother, Bob Smith (Cheryl); sisters, Carolyn Moore, Brenda Taylor (Dale “Butch”); Jim’s long-time friend and fishing buddy of over 50 years, Tom Davis; several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to say a special Thank You to all his friends and family who helped Uncle Jim during his time of illness. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made in James’s honor to the Anderson County Animal Shelter, 100 North Main Street, Suite 127, Clinton, TN 37716.
