James Carl Grizzell

JAMES “JC” C. Grizzell, Jr., Age 80, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on July 28, 2012. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a mechanic, car salesman, and service station owner. Preceded in death by father, Carl Grizzell; mother, Othella Wyrick; brother, Jennings Grizzell; sister, Blanche Grizzell; granddaughter, Jessica; and great-grandson, Christian. Survived by devoted and caring wife of 60 years, Helen Turner Grizzell; daughter, Cathy (Steve) Pettiford; son, Scott (Kathy) Grizzell; son, Rev. Tim (Renea) Grizzell; grandchildren, Greg (Stefanie) Pettiford, Michelle Lee and Rocky Gallagher, Randall (Jenn) Pattiford, Kristin (Matt) Collins, Nathan, Bethany and Carrie Grizzell; great-grandchildren, Destiny Lee, Kiara Pettiford, Christian and Tristan Gallagher; sister, Lana Grizzell; brother, Kenneth (Sandra) Grizzell; special uncle, Frank (Nealie) Grizzell; several aunts, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Halls Chapel from 6-8 PM, Monday, with funeral service to follow, Rev. Eddie Perry officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45 AM, Tuesday, at Milan Baptist Church Cemetery, Maynardville, for an interment service at 10 AM.
