James Jennings Brock

James J. Brock, age 67 of Knoxville, passed away September 2, 2023, at Parkwest Hospital surrounded by friends and family. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and sang gospel music. James was a 1973 graduate of Halls High School and was a proud member of Halls wrestling team. He was also the co-owner of Brock Brothers Painting Company since 1979. Preceded in death by parents Randy J. and Helen Brock, and brother Firman Brock. He leaves behind his loving wife Brenda Brock, children Dana Brock (Rob Brown), Jeffrey Brock, and Jessica Brock, grandchildren Miracle, Kali, Jewel, Jada, Autumn, Breana, C.J., Tahlia, and Lil Rob, great-grandchildren Brynlee, Lincoln, Zayden, and Little Jim, brother Elmo Brock, sister Paula Lynch, aunts Betty Jean Marcum and Bessie Sue Richie (Eddie Richie), many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and sang gospel music. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow, Rev. Donnie McGinnis officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45am Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00am interment.
