James Derck Booher

James Derck Booher, age 68, of Corryton passed peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 1st, 2026.  He was born December 28th, 1957 to Bruce and Helen Booher in Washington, DC.  He moved to Corryton at a young age, where he became a longtime member of the Corryton community and a graduate of Gibbs High School Class of 1976.  James was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather.  From time spent on the soccer fields, the beach, sitting in under shade trees, and grilling at home, his happiest moments were spent with his family and loved ones.  He also loved all things technology and enjoyed working with computers.  He was a member of Clapps Chapel Church In Corryton, TN.

Preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Helen Booher.  He is survived by his wife Lisa Booher and his sons Daniel (Tara) Booher and Patrick (Ashley) Booher; stepchildren Kelly Karnes and Andy Bridges; his siblings Michael Booher, John Booher, Jeanette Booher, Harvey Booher, and Lori Smith.  His grandchildren Logan Booher, Emily Booher, and Olivia Booher; and his step-grandchildren Ella and Wren.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 6:00 pm at Clapps Chapel Church, Corryton, TN. 7420 Clapps Chapel Road, Corryton, TN  37721.  A time of fellowship and receiving of friends will follow the service.
