James Earl Bailey Jr.

James Earl Bailey Jr., age 63, of Powell, TN went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Jim was a natural leader and teacher of all things, but most of all, he loved the Lord and loved his family and friends well. Jim also served faithfully as a deacon at Bell’s Campground Baptist Church. He will be deeply missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Bailey and brother, Jeff Bailey. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife off 44 years, Beth Bailey, children, Kevin Bailey (Michelle) and Kristin Slaton (Michael), grandchildren, Ryan and Emily Bailey, Witten, Levi, and Caris Slaton, father, James Bailey Sr., brother, John Bailey, and many other loving family members.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel with a service at 7:00pm officiated by Keith Tillman. Family and friends will meet at Bells Campground Cemetery on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 10:45am for an 11:00am service.
