Jack Edward Dyer

Jack Edward Dyer, age 84, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 at his home. He was born February 18, 1938, in Maynardville, TN, to the late Harry A. and Freenie L. Dyer. Jack was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired in June of 2000 from ETWNC Trucking Co., and Sysco Food Service. In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years and the love of his life, Peggy Jo Dyer; brothers, Billy J. Dyer, James A. (Jim) Dyer, and Harry A. Dyer; sister, Nancy A. Perkins. He is survived by his son, Michael Edward Dyer (Kim); daughter, Sheila Brewer (Tony); grandson, Wesley Brewer (Brittany); great grandchildren, Addison Faith Brewer, Avery Caroline Brewer and Brody Ace Brewer; special friend, Freddie Baker; friends at Buffat Heights Baptist Church; several nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm in the Parlors of Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Following the visitation, the family and friends will meet at Caledonia Cemetery for a 3:00pm graveside service officiated by Rev. Tony Brewer and Rev. Stanley Knight.
