He was born on August 31, 1934, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Jack was a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he played football for several years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Showalter) Wheeler (d. 1983) and his second wife, Anna (Davis) Wheeler (d. 2007); also, his sisters, Marilyn (Wheeler) Vena (d. 2022) and Kaye (Wheeler) Palomaki (d. 2024). Jack will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. His life and faith now find their rest in the eternal peace of God.
