Jack Riley Butturini

Jack Riley Butturini Sr., age 88, of Knoxville, TN passed on Thursday, December 26, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Lynn Butturini; his sons, Scotty, Kenneth, and Jack Butturini; his daughter, Jill Sweeden; parents, Charles "Paw Jill" and Elsie Butturini; and siblings, Charles and Dorothy. He is survived by his son, Steve Butturini; sister, Patricia Bunch; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Jack went to Bearden High School and continued his education at Carson Newman before enlisting in the Navy. After leaving the Navy he worked many years at IBM before retiring. 

A man of many names and personalities, Jack was loyal, stoic, hark working, honest, and stubborn as a mule. He took pride in taking care of his wife, children, and grandchildren. As much as we are all sad that you are no longer here with us, your passing brings us some relief because you are now free of your body and happy in your spirit with your parents, wife, and children. 

His family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home of Fountain City, 2829 Rennoc Rd, Knoxville, TN, 37918.
