Inez Lakin

LAKIN, Sofa Inez - age 90, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Preceded in death by Husband, Joe; parents, Spencer and Lennie Keck and a host of others who are now greeting her in Heaven. Her strong love for the Lord and unwavering trust in Him has been passed on to all those that knew her and that are left with fond memories. She is survived by son, David (Minoka) Lakin; son Dennis (Tina) Lakin; grandchildren, Travis (Kayla) Lakin, Cara Lakin and Kaileigh "Mamaw’s Girl” (Bryan) Osban. Also survived by special friend, and “Daughter She Never Had,” Rhonda (Mike) Walker. The family will receive friends, Thursday, 5-7 pm with funeral services to follow, officiated by Rev. Richard Nicely at Mynatt’s Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet at the main entrance to Greenwood Cemetery by 10:45 AM Friday, July 25, 2025 for an 11:00 AM graveside service. Serving as Honorary pallbearers: Mike Walker, Steve Nicely, Randy Dyer, Jerry Lay, Robby Mathis and Doug Vandergriff. The family would also like to thank everyone at Holston Health and Rehab and Amedisys who treated her with so much kindness, love and dignity.
