Dyer, Hillyard Greer “Bud” – “Dad and Papaw”, age 86 of Knoxville, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at Tennova Residential Hospice. Mr. Dyer was a member of 2nd United Methodist Church in Knoxville. He was preceded in death and reunited with his wife of 61 years, Margaret J. Dyer; son, Stephen A. Dyer; daughter, Brenda Bull; parents, Samuel and Minnie Dyer; sister, Mildred Anderson. He is survived by his son, Alan G. Dyer of Knoxville and wife Karen; grandchildren, Eric Dyer of Chattanooga and wife Christine; Kristy Myers of Halls and husband Rodney, Holly Davis of Franklin and husband Shawn, Kimberly Bradley of Knoxville, and Halley Floyd of Clinton; great-grandchildren, Sydney Dyer of Chattanooga, Ty and Spencer Myers of Halls, Pete and Chip Davis of Franklin, Justin Tallent, Breanna and Brittany Bradley of Knoxville; sisters, Betty Womack of Knoxville, Frances Coward of Knoxville; and brothers, Sammy Dyer of Halls and Everett Dyer of Chattanooga. Funeral service 8:00 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. M.C. Taylor officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Thursday at Greenwood Cemetery for 11:00 am interment. Mr. Dyer was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army and will be honored at his funeral for his service to his country. Pallbearers: Eric Dyer, Shawn Davis, Ty Myers, Rodney Myers, Scott Brady, and Alan Dyer. Family will receive friends 6:30 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
