Herman Eugene Meredith

Herman Eugene Meredith, age 84 of Knoxville, was born on March 1, 1940 and went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 24, 2024.

Herman was a Barber for 62 years, where he made many good friends.  He served on the Barber Board, the 911 Board, was the Powell Republican Club Treasurer and was his church treasurer for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sadie Meredith; wives, Wanda Faye Rogers Meredith and Sandie Murray Bunch Meredith; sisters, Emma Meredith, Margaret Denton and Dorothy Johnson; brothers, Dillard, Clifton, J.C., Donald, Franklin and Paul Meredith.

Herman is survived by his nieces, Debbie King Turano and Molly Meredith; stepson, whom Herman thought of as his very own son, Rusty (Becky) Bunch; step-grandsons, Dillon and Davis Bunch.

The family would like to acknowledge and give a special thanks to Deborah Rogers, Rebecca Rogers and Bo Elliott for the wonderful and compassionate care that was given to Herman during his illness.

Funeral Services will by 2:00pm Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel with Pastor Danny Scates officiating.  Interment service will follow at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00pm - 2:00pm Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in the name of Herman Meredith to: Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery, 7916 Pedigo Road, Knoxville, TN 37938.
