Herma D. Mills

Herma D. Mills, age 91, of Lucasville, OH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2026. Herma was a devoted member of Central Church of Christ in Portsmouth, Ohio. She dedicated 47 years of service to Goodyear Atomic Corporation before retiring. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfred B. Mills, Jr.; her brother, Gene Cabiness; her mother, Kathryn Cabiness; and her father, Ralph Cabiness. She is survived by her sister, LeVonne McDowell; her daughters, Sarah L. Mills Wages and Mary Jane Mills Haney (Seth); her grandchildren, Seth A. Haney II (Emily), Emily J. Kissel (Jacob), and Caleb E. Haney (Hannah); great grandchildren, Cora Haney, Evan Haney, Ben Haney, Ada Haney, Abigail Kissel, Graham Kissel, Henry Kissel, Charlotte Haney, Waylon Haney and Naomi Haney; and several nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Rick and Nellie Shope, Ryan McNaulty, The Pointe at Lifespring and Shalom Hospice of Knoxville for their kindness, care and support. 

Family and friends will meet Friday, September 4, 2026 at 12:45pm at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg, Ohio for a 1:00pm graveside service.
